A Note Before You Begin

Home looks different for everyone. This is ours.

If you’re new here — welcome.
And if you’ve been around for a while — I’m really glad you stayed.

Roots in the Wild isn’t just a travel blog or an RV diary. It’s a living record of a family figuring things out as we go — one slow morning, one hard season, one beautiful stretch of road at a time.

You’ll find stories here about:

  • Raising a baby (and dogs) in small spaces

  • RV life that’s sometimes magical and sometimes messy

  • Motherhood that’s deeply rooted, even without a permanent address

  • Choosing a slower, simpler life in a world that pushes constant hustle

What you won’t always find is perfection.

This space is honest — about exhaustion, doubt, growth, and the quiet moments in between the adventures. Some posts are practical and helpful. Others are reflective and tender. Many are written in the middle of nap time, with cold coffee nearby and a lot on my heart.

We don’t claim to have it all figured out.
We’re just choosing what feels right for our family — and sharing the process in hopes that it helps someone else feel less alone in choosing their own version of home.

If you’re here because:

  • you’re curious about RV life or off-grid living

  • you’re navigating motherhood in a season that looks different than you expected

  • you’re craving slower days, deeper roots, or permission to do things differently

—you’re in the right place.

Take what resonates. Leave what doesn’t.
And know that however you found your way here, you’re welcome.

This is a space for reflection, growth, and grace — for ourselves and for each other.

I’m really glad you’re here.
When you’re ready, the stories continue below. 🌿

If you feel like sharing, I’d love to know what season of life you’re in.
