I Haven’t Disappeared, Life Has Just Been Life-ing

Life has been life-ing. Exhibit A.

I haven’t disappeared.

Life has simply asked me to be a little more present these past couple of weeks.

Which is my nice way of saying… life has been life-ing. 😂

I realized this morning that I’ve now missed two Sundays here, and while I’m not going to pretend the blogging police are coming for me, it felt weird to just keep being quiet without saying something.

The truth is, there are some personal things happening behind the scenes right now that I’m just not ready to share yet.

Nothing ominous. Nothing I’m trying to be weird and mysterious about. 😂

I’m just not there yet.

And between that, regular life, chasing a toddler around, and everything else that somehow fills an entire day before I’ve accomplished half of what I planned to do… the blog has taken a little bit of a backseat.

I actually have posts in the drafts—almost complete.

And I have so many stories I want to tell.

But I currently have approximately 47 thoughts floating around in my head at any given moment.

What I apparently have not had is the brain space to turn any of those things into something worth publishing.

And I decided back when I started this blog that I don’t want to post here just because the calendar says it’s Sunday.

So I didn’t.

Twice. 😂

But I also didn’t want two quiet weeks to accidentally turn into three, then four, then suddenly I’m popping back in here around Christmas like, Hey guys! Remember me?

So, hi.

I’m still here.

Roots in the Wild is still here.

The regularly scheduled chaos and storytelling will return soon.

I just needed a couple of weeks to be a little more present in my actual life than I was on the internet.

And apparently, I needed my toddler’s nap time on a Sunday to come tell you that. 🩵
